Montreal’s Ballsy – the solo venture of Caveboy’s Isabelle Banos – is a nostalgic and energetic blend of indie rock and dreampop. She’s performed across Canada including electrifying performances at JUNOfest, NXNE, Pop Montreal, M for Montreal, Tiny Lights & Spring Reverb. Her music has appeared in popular tv shows and movies, most recently in the new spider-verse movie Madame Web. After her participation as one of the top female producers in Canada in the 2020 “Women in the Studio” program, Ballsy proudly opened her own studio in Montreal, Chez Ballsy, an inclusive space welcoming all artists to create as themselves. It’s here where her solo project was born and her debut EP “Bisou” (April 5th 2024) was created, co-written with friends and featuring crispy guitars, warm analog synths, and in-your-face emotion. Ballsy is also passionate about climate justice and is a proud EarthPercent artist, sharing a portion of her royalties with “the planet”. In 2022, her work led her to be recognized as an Innovator by Keychange, a revered global initiative devoted to advocating for more gender equality in the music industry.
