Hemes is an up and coming Middle Eastern artist based in Pontypridd. She infuses her music with a blend of catchy pop melodies with Arabian scales and rhythms. Writing songs from a young age and teaming up with producer Danny Lafrombè from the age of 19 to develop her artist project, Hemes delves into themes of identity and the experiences of growing up as an Arabic woman in the UK. Her music resonates with emotions of navigating life in your twenties, delivering a blend of cultural influences and personal storytelling.
Hemes has been supported by the likes of BBC Radio Wales, BBC Introducing on BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Radio 6. Her recent achievements include receiving BBC Radio Wales A-list on her singles “Fire” and “Home” for 3 consecutive weeks and playing the BBC Introducing Stage at Latitude Festival last summer, showcasing her new sound.
2025 is set to be an exciting year, showcasing an EP of a mix of UK Pop infused with Arabian rhythms and scales.
