Low Girl is the work of multi-instrumentalist Sarah Cosgrove and her bandmates Toby, Tom and Brad. Described by DIY Magazine as “a peppy new pop talent”, the band released debut EP Big Now in May 2021 and haven’t looked back since. The EP was preceded by the release of the title track, which picked up support from BBC Radio 1, Radio X and was featured on the ‘New Music Fix’ playlist on BBC 6Music, as well as strong support from DIY, The Line of Best Fit and Spotify to name a few.
“I think in a world where music is getting faster, louder, angrier. The artists that stick to perhaps the intricacies a little more seem to be having a bigger impact. It’s like a welcome respite from the appetite for chaos that we often have. Life is all about balance at the end of day, isn’t it? Low Girl bring the balance really nicely. Rhythms that play it cool, a soft touching vocal that states ‘I did it for me’. That’s rule number one in life, isn’t it. Always do it for yourself, first and foremost. Low Girl abiding by that brilliantly on that song right there, which will be a welcome addition to your playlist if you’ll have it.” Jack Saunders, Radio 1
