Davy is the Member Development Manager at PPL, the music licensing company that collects and distributes royalties for performers and recording rightsholders when their recorded music is broadcast on TV and radio, or when it is played in public. Davy provides direct support for a number of high-profile emerging artists and their teams to help ensure they maximise their income from UK and international airplay. If you are a musician who plays on recordings, or someone that owns the rights to recordings, or if you represent someone that does either, then speak with Davy about how the revenue stream commonly referred to as ‘neighbouring rights’ fits in with your music career.
Another part of Davy’s role at PPL includes observing judging panels for PRS Foundation and Youth Music, so he can discuss various funding options that may be available to you to record, tour or promote your work.
Prior to working at PPL, Davy was a multi-genre buyer in music retail whilst being guitarist and principal songwriter in various bands, receiving airplay from national and regional broadcasters.
