A.S. Fanning is a songwriter from Dublin but based in Berlin for over 12 years now. His debut album “Second Life” saw the light of day in 2017 released via his own label Proper Octopus, including the all-time favourite song “Carmelita”. The sophomore album “You Should Go Mad” came out in midst of the pandemic in 2020 and therefor didn’t get the attention it should have deserved, but this is true for so many other developing artists. A.S. Fanning’s third album, “Mushroom Cloud” came out in May 2024 this time with the backing of the German independent label K&F Records. “Mushroom Cloud” was a big success in German press and with audiences alike, with features on national public radio Deutschlandfunk, good ratings on blogs and in print media. The album got quite a bit of attention in the UK as well, with Far Out Magazine crowning A.S. Fanning as songwriter of the year 2023. The year 2024 started with a small tour in Germany including a recording of a live show for the Deutschlandfunk programme “On Stage”(and a concert for the prestigious WDR Rockpalast. The new record “Greetings from the Depths of Confusion” (working title) will be recorded in September and is planned to be released in early September next year with Single releases starting in May.
