Carreg Lafar has been an influential part of the Welsh traditional music scene for over 30 years. Through a mix of traditional and original music they convey a contemporary approach, whilst staying firmly rooted in the language and tradition of Welsh song and dance music. Carreg Lafar has toured the UK, Europe and North America, performing at major venues and festivals including the Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Kennedy Centre, Celtic Colours, Festival Interceltico de Aviles, Celtic Connections and Piping Live! Our music is arranged for traditional and contemporary instruments including fiddle, flute, pibgorn, bagpipes and guitar, together with dynamic vocals. We’ve made four albums with Sain Records, the most recent is AUR (Gold).
