There’s an ominous nostalgia lurking in the liminal spaces of the internet. The innate penchant for fear makes the dream-like ‘backrooms’ so appealing to em koko, heard in ghastly echoes of em koko’s musical style.

Having previous played bass for celebrated musician Alice Low, as well as currently playing synth for Minas, Emily is now pursuing her own musical endeavours. Her debut release “Take me as I am” is the product of heightened feeling. The synergy of modern shoegaze and industrial dream pop contorted by a dissociative melancholy makes for a post-genre experience for the listener.
