Glymur is a dream pop band from Mallorca with a good measure of post-rock and electronic, influenced by bands such as Apparat, Thom Yorke, Mogwai and Bon Iver among others. Glymur is characterized by being a 100% immersive experience as it blends electronic music with acoustic instruments and real-time video projection. Their first work, Follow the Lines (Espora Records 2023), refers to the Song Lines, an ancestral concept of the Australian aboriginal tribes, according to which, songs work as maps to get your bearings and survive. This record reflects on the contrasts between the urban and technological modern society and primitive cultures, closely attached to the natural world. These contrasts are expressed in the songs through different rhythm patterns and numerous electronic and rock layers of sound, generating a characteristic post-rock dreamy atmosphere, which also alludes to another magic concept of the Australian tribes -Dreamtime.
