Lisa O’Hare (Voicebox)

A 2023 BBC Words First Finalist, Lisa O’Hare has been featured on BBC Upload and BBC Radio 3.  Her poetry is rhythmic and relatable, blending self-deprecating humour with poignant observations on everyday life. She has toured her one-woman poetry show at several fringe festivals including Greater Manchester and Edinburgh. Her words have taken her to Boardmasters festival and Worthy Pastures (aka Glastonbury in Lockdown), BBC Contains Strong Language and Wal Goch Football festivals.  She has also performed at iconic venues such as Factory International and Band on the Wall, Manchester.  Recently she has been a mentor in the National Young Poet Laureate programme led by the National Literacy Trust and National Poetry Centre.
