With numerous television, radio and festival appearances under his belt, alongside live shows in the UK, Europe and USA as a solo musician, frontman of Cymrucana pioneers Climbing Trees and one half of indie-folk duo Hazel & Grey, Rhondda Valley musician Matthew Frederick has racked up five albums, two EPs and seventeen singles to date in a career that has also seen him perform with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, record at London’s legendary Maida Vale Studios, gain BBC Introducing, Radio 1 and 6 Music airplay and a Welsh Music Prize nomination, before releasing his critically-acclaimed debut solo studio album ‘Fragments’ via Staylittle Music.
Autumn 2025 will see a run of shows across Wales in support of forthcoming single and long-time live favourite ‘Obsolete,’ Frederick’s first solo release in five years.
