Muri aka Muriel Gonzales, is a Filipino violinist and singer-songwriter based between Manila and London. Muri blends violin swells with soulful melodies, flowing from tenderness to resolve, vulnerability to courage, finding a renewed sense of self-discovery and belonging as she navigates change. Her debut EP, 11ème received widespread attention, with features in Billboard, Bandwagon, NME, & Earmilk. This follows earlier recognition with her single “Letters,” which earned nominations for Wishclusive Contemporary R&B Performance of the Year at the Wish Awards 2022 & Favorite Female Artist at the 35th Awit Awards (the Philippines’ answer to the Grammys.
Muri has most recently showcased at SXSW Austin 2025, Bangkok Music City 2025, AXEAN Music Festival Bali 2024, and Fête de la Musique Paris. Now based in Europe, Muri is poised to expand her audience from the Philippines and the rest of Asia, to a wider global audience.
