• ‘One of the UK’s best festivals’

Hailing from Liverpool, forged in Wales & of passionate Irish descent. Their art is “A mash up between Nina Hagen & early PJ Harvey…life will never be the same again once you’ve worshiped at the altar of OORYA!” (Backseat Mafia 23′).

Allow your neuro-spicy brains to be held in a fierce embrace & sent out into the world; loved & riled. Made from: a hug you give yourself, guitar, beats, synth & Eon Constellation The Emotional Support Dinosaur. OORYA is a conduit of heavenly messages; they channel poetry & anthems to embolden Queers & weirdos. Guest artist on BBC 6 Music’s Trunk Of Punk. They have supported the wonders that are Nuha Ruby Ra & CLT DRP.

“Words are insufficient to describe the artistic might that is an OORYA performance – just go and experience it for yourself. You may just find yourself asking yourself, “Who Am I?” as you’re chanting, “Who Are Ya?” (RGM 23’)

A word from Society Of Losers & 9×9 Records: The first time I saw OORYA perform I was entirely bewitched by their poetry, power and presence, I was not the only one. As they held an audience captive in the palm of their hand, they wove words of wonder that left everyone enchanted…then made them all throw a toy emotional support dinosaur called Eon back and forth so he could crowd surf. It’s not every day, every month, every year that you see a talent this unique. We made plans to secure their Loserdom that evening and we are head over heels to be releasing their music via our label.  Their debut single IRONS was recorded by Simon ‘Ding’ Archer (The Fall, PJ Harvey) & the video was made by Harri Shanahan the co-director of acclaimed documentary Rebel Dykes.
