Rainy Day Café is the sonic expression of Ben Williams, a 26-year-old songwriter and recording enthusiast whose work blends lo-fi charm with a DIY ethos. Armed with a collection of old recording equipment and a passion for creating, he transformed a spare bedroom into a personal studio, giving birth to the unique sound of Rainy Day Café.
As a one-man-band in the studio, Williams plays every instrument and records everything to analog tape, capturing the warm, imperfect quality that defines his music. His approach is rooted in experimentation, making each track a reflection of both his personal journey and his love for the raw energy of home recording.
Live, Williams is joined by drummer Iestyn Jones and Harrison Bell who transform the songs into an exciting display of raw punk rock energy, bringing the show to life and adding a new dimension to the songs of Rainy Day Café.
