TWO TONNE MACHETE are a female fronted feminist punk band who make authentic, high energy, feel good punk anthems and are from North Wales and North West England.
TTM’s vibe is Amyl and the Sniffers meets the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and IDLES. Despite being proudly DIY and self-supported, their first two singles, featured on both BBC Introducing and Radio X in 2023, along with over 200 other stations internationally. Their third single ‘ME’ also received widespread radio play.
They have been busy gigging and building a sound live following including previously playing slots at Focus Wales, and Future Now Festival. 2025 promises big things with a new single, a debut EP and furious live shows.
Two Tonne Machete have a strong political ethos. Songs tackle issues such as misogyny, radical politics, control, toxic masculinity and sexuality. They bring this message with powerful guitars, thumping bass and striking female vocals. Along with full throttle punk energy their music has melody and depth, light and shade.
Described as “Uptempo garage punk burning with raw power” (Fresh on the Net), “The vocalist’s voice has a torn and fierce drive” (Music for all Mag) plus “The bands style of melody is like a rush of blood… with a singer at the top of her game” (Illustrate Magazine). Two Tonne Machete are guaranteed to bring it.
