TWO TONNE MACHETE are a feminist alt punk band from North Wales who make authentic, high energy, punk anthems. Their sound combines strong and powerful vocals with crunching bass driven distortion. Songs have a strong political stance and tackle issues such as misogyny, control, toxic masculinity, sexuality, protest and dissent. Along with full throttle punk energy their music has melody and depth and light and shade producing a more complex and developed sound than most punk acts but retaining the punk ethos at their core.

Their music has been featured on BBC Introducing and Radio X’s Exposure show with John Kennedy plus they have made festival appearances at Manchester Punk Festival, Rebellion Festival and Focus Wales. In addition they have been nominated for Best Band at the Radio Wigwam Awards and topped off 2025 winning both Best Song (for ‘Home’) and Best Band in the Punk AF Radio annual music awards.

A busy live schedule and the release of their debut EP supported by a UK headline tour makes 2026 an exciting year.

“Two Tonne Machete is not your typical punk band, they’re thoughtful, fierce and full of purpose. You can feel the care that went into crafting this song. This is one of the most moving punk songs I’ve heard.  It’s not just loud for the sake of it, it means something. And that makes it worth every second” Bored City Blog

“Uptempo garage punk burning with raw power” Fresh on the Net

“Fierce, confrontational, and unrelenting, the track ‘Pigs Pigs’ stands as a blistering piece of protest music for the present moment, capturing the anger simmering beneath a society where dissent is increasingly policed and punished” The Musical Road
