Born and growing up in Beijing, AJ entered the live music industry when studying recording & productions in Stavanger Norway in 2006. After freelancing a few years, he joined Taihe Music Group as the head of International bookings of Showstart (the live and ticketing department of Taihe).
Over the years he has brought a list of international acts to China: Aurora, Amadou & Mariam, Carl Barat, Kings Of Convenience, Novo Amor, Ride, Röyksopp, Slowdive, Temples, The Vaccines to name a few. In 2024 he started his own promotional agency Haze Sounds and continues to work extensively with international artists’ touring in China.
A.J also manages and book internationally for a few Chinese bands: Carsick Cars, Default, KyoYoko, Green Deer, Acid Accident, and Sleepwalkin’ Zoo.
