Bablu Shikdar is one of Wales’ most dynamic voices in music, culture, community and entertainment. Awarded Presenter of the Year at the 2025 KLAT Awards, he’s known for bringing energy, insight, and authenticity to everything he hosts and presents — from live events to broadcast shows and working with young people.
Over the past few years, Bablu has presented for BBC 1Xtra, BBC Horizons, BBC Radio Wales, Cardiff City and ITV, and hosted major events like Cardiff City x New Balance x IBY Collab Launch, the Black Welsh Music Awards, Youth Music, and the JD Welsh Cup + more. He’s also produced presenter-led content for the Cardiff Music City Festival, It’sMyShout and regularly leads panels and discussions that explore the Welsh creative scene whilst also being an advocate for uplifting and up-skilling people in the industry.
Working both independently and through Larynx Entertainment, Bablu creates interviews, documents artists, and amplifies Welsh MOBO music, helping shine a spotlight on the talent and stories shaping the scene today. Whether on stage, on-air, or online, Bablu brings passion, personality, and expertise to scene that he admires ever so much.
