Dana McDonald Oxaal is a Brighton, UK based booking agent representing 13 International artists of varied genres including Post-Punk , Psych, Goth ,Electronic and Folk.She moved to the UK from NYC in 2022 and started up UK / EU tour booking operations for US based , Rocky Road Touring. She soon developed her own roster of artists from all over the world. She recently went independent with her roster.
Dana is first and foremost a big fan of live music and you can find her at a gig most nights of the week. She got her start while moonlighting as a cocktail waitress in a music venue after her day job at BMG in Boston when she was just out of college. She began to immerse herself in the Boston music scene and started bringing in showcases from the record labels and also artists such as Patty Griffin, Aimee Mann, and Morphine to the small venue which became iconic. She soon quit her day job and kicked off her career as well known, go to promoter in Boston. Quickly she was recruited to move to NYC to become the talent buyer at another iconic venue, Coney Island High where she was the first to bring to NYC artists such as Queens of The Stoneage, Incubus and 311 and the very last to book The Ramones.
Her career as promoter and then agent continued for two decades in NYC founding booking agency , DNA Artists and as main promoter and head of booking for the venues The Delancey , then Berlin and The Bowery Electric.
During the pandemic Dana donated her time doing free consultations for artists to keep them inspired and helping to get them set up and motivated for touring again soon and organically became an agent again.
Dana has now brought all her years of experience on both sides , Agent and Promoter, and both sides of the pond to continue as an agent to champion, build and develop artists with a well rounded, holistic approach.
