Viva Sounds has been shaking up things since 2017 as an international club festival (and indie conference) in Gothenburg. The event crams a whole lot of shows, talks and late-night chaos into late November. The festival has built its relevance, and reputation, by inviting people by handshakes and booking live acts through going to shows and adding brilliance from its international network. Carried out by Westside Music, a Gothenburg outfit dedicated to building a stronger platform and international presence for the local music community through live shows, media projects, and release support – always with a focus on collaboration and visibility. If it ain’t broke, break it, then fix it.
