Based in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton) at the University of Waikato, Wairehu is a Māori researcher (Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Tūwharetoa) currently in the final year of a PhD thesis exploring Māori creativity and activism within Aotearoa’s contemporary punk scenes. Wairehu also plays in the band Half/Time.
