Carole Blade manages Sound Progression, a Cardiff-based youth music organisation supporting the next generation of Welsh artists. With over 30 years’ experience in the arts sector, she began her career as a professional dancer before moving into arts management and producing.
Carole previously worked as Artistic Coordinator for Welsh Independent Dance and later as Creative Producer for the national dance initiative Coreo Cymru, where she led major programmes and international collaborations.
Since joining Sound Progression in 2018, she has helped grow the organisation’s grassroots music programmes, supporting hundreds of young people each year through studio mentoring, live showcases and industry development opportunities. Carole holds a Master’s degree in Arts Management from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
