  • Eluned Haf (Wales Arts International)

    Eluned Hâf is Head of Wales Arts International, the international agency of the Arts Council of Wales and works closely with Welsh Government and British Council to deliver cultural programmes as part of Team Cymru initiatives, such as the Wales in France cultural programme 2023, Cymru Cultural Programme at the FIFA Mens’ World Cup in 2022, and the Cymru Japan Culture Programme 2019. A mother-tongue Welsh speaker, she spearheaded Gwrando, a programme by Arts Council of Wales to support artists in Wales to listen and to learn from Indigenous languages and wisdom as part of the UN Decade of Indigenous Languages. One of Eluned’s career highlights was making the case for culture within the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, Wales’ pioneering contribution towards the UN Global Goals.

    She led the successful bid to host the World Music Expo WOMEX in Cardiff in 2013 and supported WOMEX in Manchester in 2024. Eluned studied languages and journalism and worked for BBC Cymru Wales and Reuters TV before becoming press officer for the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament and founded una, a creative European communications agency. In her spare time Eluned loves to sing in a choir and play football with her three boys.
