Gruffydd Owen is the founder and label manager of Libertino, an independent record label established in April 2017. Over the past eight years, Libertino has grown into one of Wales’ most dynamic and respected creative hubs, supporting a new generation of artists working across both Welsh and English language music.
Alongside the label, Gruffydd runs Libertino Management, working closely with artists on their long-term creative and professional development. Under his direction, Libertino has developed into a fully integrated home for its roster, providing artist management, in-house PR, tour support, booking, and creative strategy.
In 2025, Gruffydd launched BWGiBWGAN, Libertino’s sister label and a new platform dedicated to championing the most exciting emerging and outsider experimental voices from Wales. The label focuses on boundary-pushing artists and forward-thinking releases that reflect the breadth and originality of Wales’ contemporary music scene.
Through Libertino and BWGiBWGAN, Gruffydd has built a reputation for nurturing artists from the grassroots while helping them develop sustainable, internationally facing careers, contributing to the growing global profile of Welsh independent music.
