  • Mace The Great (Musician)

Following on from a string of industry-approved singles, a spot on the BBC Documentary
‘Wales: Music Nation’ and his involvement with FA Wales for the World Cup campaign, Mace
The Great continues to take Welsh rap global with his next LP ‘SplottWorld’, named after his
    hometown in Cardiff.
Across the album, Mace The Great reveals different layers to his sound. From the
braggadocious and energetic bars on ‘Wicked & Bad’, to the reflective tracks ‘Ali Bombaye’ and
‘How I Want It’, where he ruminates on family life and past experiences that have shaped his
purpose rapping “what you know about struggle and strife, I’m from the ends where the struggle
    is rife”.
“The project is about my journey….reflection, growth and gratitude” Mace explains. “Where you
come from isn’t perfect but the lessons you learn in between are vital. This is an introduction to
    My World…..SplottWorld”
Since his early singles, Mace The Great’s intentions have been clear. His debut LP ‘My Side Of
The Bridge’ invited people in to see what Wales has to offer, whilst ‘SplottWorld’ has taken
Mace overseas, as he raps “your know how it is, tourist and I take it over the bridge” on the
    Minas-produced track ‘Tourist’.

2022 was a pivotal year for Mace The Great with multiple performances in the US including
SXSW, collaborations with Size? and gaining recognition at the MOBO Awards as part of
Unsung Class 22. Having continued to secure tastemaker support from the likes of Clash,
DMY, Mixtape Madness, The Pit, Wordplay, BBC Introducing, Reprezent and more, he is
well and truly putting Cardiff rap on the map and 2023 promises to elevate him to greater
    heights.
