Born in Barcelos, Portugal, with an academic background spanning the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Chelsea School of Art and Design, and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra, Márcio Laranjeira has been part of Lovers & Lollypops since 2009. He is one of those responsible for the programming, conception, and management of festivals such as Tremor, Square, and Barlos, as well as the European cooperation network Edge, in addition to a series of collaborations with institutions including Casa da Música, CCB, Casa do Capitão, the Municipality of Porto, Salão Brazil, among others.
Alongside his work as a programmer, he is also an artist agent representing acts from the Lovers & Lollypops roster, such as Boogarins, Sessa, and Avalanche Kaito. Parallel to this activity, he has served as a guest lecturer in the Postgraduate Program in Music Industry Management at IPC, where he was responsible for the courses Artistic Career Management and Event Booking and Production. He is also a tutor in the European capacity-building programme JUMP and, since 2019, has been the coordinator of the Music Business course at Arda Academy in Porto.
