Marilyne Lacombe is co-founder and director at Mothland, a Montreal-based agency/label that specializes in alternative and experimental music. Founded in 2017, the collective aims to provide visionary artists with an alternative label, manages the careers of artists, and books North American concerts for outfits from Canada and abroad. The team does curation for Festival de Musique Émergente (FME) in Rouyn-Noranda (QC) and Taverne Tour in Montréal (QC), also organizing events for artists from various underground scenes via parent promotion outlets, Analogue Addiction and Distorsion. Maintaining its D.I.Y. background, Mothland cultivates a strong community-oriented ethos and celebrates unique artistic approaches.
