Osamagbe (Osama) Izevbigie – Professional Bio
Osamagbe (Osama) Izevbigie is a Cardiff based cultural producer, creative director, and founder of Afrowales and OTID Entertainment Ltd. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, he began his career as a live sound and lighting technician working on productions for major artists including Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Tiwa Savage before moving to Wales to study Live Sound and Event Production at the University of South Wales.
In 2021 he founded Afrowales, transforming a student initiative into one of Wales’ fastest growing community cultural platforms. Under his leadership, Afrowales has delivered large scale festivals, youth music programmes, and national cultural events that have reached thousands of participants across Wales and the United Kingdom, including collaborations with Creative Wales, Arts Council of Wales, Race Council Cymru, and universities across Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol, and beyond.
Osamagbe is Head of Marketing, Media, and Communications for the Black Welsh Music Awards and a lead organiser of major initiatives such as AMPLIFY – Wales Civic Music Network and CydSeinio Cymru St David’s Day cultural celebrations. His work focuses on building inclusive creative ecosystems that connect artists, policymakers, and communities through music, film, and live cultural experiences.
He was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Black History Wales Youth Awards and honoured in the Welsh Senate for his contribution to the Black Welsh 365 campaign and youth development initiatives. Through Afrowales and OTID Entertainment, he continues to produce events, develop emerging artists, and create pathways for underrepresented voices into the creative industries.
Osamagbe is currently expanding into documentary production, developing projects rooted in Wales’ migration heritage and community storytelling, including the TIGER BAY STORYLAB initiative and work with partners such as Ffilm Cymru Wales.
