  • Umong Shah (The Leighton-Pope Organisation)

    Umong is the founder of Fortitude Music and has over 16 years of experience working across the international music industry. His work spans artist management, international consulting, live promotion, conference programming and industry development, with a focus on building long term relationships between artists, organisations and global markets.

    Earlier in his career Shah worked in live promotion with Discovery Talent in London and product development within the audio technology sector. Through Fortitude Music, Umong has managed and consulted artists from the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, the United States and South Korea. Among them is Scottish pop artist Elle Exxe, whose career included international releases, global sync placements and performances at festivals around the world. Today he works with artists at various stages of their careers, helping to shape creative identity, release strategy and team development. Umong has also been involved in large scale touring productions. Under Fortitude Music he managed a team of eight working alongside YG Entertainment and AEG Presents on VIP operations for the European leg of the BLACKPINK World Tour at The O2 Arena. He also supported major shows by NCT Dream at Wembley Stadium, Jackson Wang at Eventim Apollo & Travis Scott at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

    Alongside his work with artists, Shah plays a central role in international music conferences. He was the Conference Director of Future Echoes in Sweden and the Songwriting Camp Director for Future Songs, where he programmed panels, booked speakers and coordinated international writers and producers. Through Fortitude Connect he has also helped deliver UK, US and Australian delegations to events such as the Golden Melody Awards in Taipei, while contributing delegates, speakers and programming ideas to Breakout West in Canada, Pro Weekend in Spain and Wide Days in Scotland.

    In 2026 Umong joined The Leighton-Pope Organisation in London as an Agent/Booking Assistant.
