Dionne Bennett is a vocalist, music educator, and cultural producer, and the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Tân Cerdd, a Black-led arts organisation based in Wales. Tân Cerdd develops and delivers culturally rooted music programmes, live stages, and professional pathways for Black and global majority artists across jazz, soul, hip hop, neo-soul, and experimental music.
Tân Cerdd is the creator of the first Black-led World Music Stage at Brecon Jazz Festival, establishing a vital new platform within one of Wales’ most respected festivals. Through partnerships with festivals, venues, broadcasters, and cultural institutions, Tân Cerdd combines artistic excellence with fair pay, artist development, and long-term infrastructure, working to address inequity in visibility and support across the Welsh and UK music sectors.
