The musical equivalent of a gun for hire, Kaptin has experience in a wide variety of projects: Programming venues such as Cardiff Arts Institute and Lost Horizon in Bristol plus stages for festivals such as Boomtown, Glastonbury, Big Love and Wilderness amongst others; Curating a Hip hop exhibition for Museum Wales; booking tours and tour managing for Asian Arts Agency; DJing under various guises at festival and venues around the world – with Disco Kaptin as his latest venture and previous mixes for BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra; a club promoter with current nights such as It’s A Disco Thing and Bump N Hustle (alongside Welsh DJ legend Paul Lyons) plus event and stage managing for others; hosting various events and radio shows, both solo and with his long term partner in crime Dregz – most recently as a guest host for BBC Radio Wales; Kaptin and Dregz will also be hosting their showcase of outstanding underground artists at Penny Black’s again this year.
Kaptin is also on the board of Sound Progression and the advisory panel for the Black Welsh Music Awards.
