I am Music Venue Trust’s Venue Support Team manager. Music Venue Trust is a charity established in 2014 whose mission is to protect, improve and secure grassroots music venues (GMVs) around the UK. The charity provides advice to the government, the cultural sector, and the music industry on issues impacting GMVs and is the nominated representative that speaks on behalf of the Music Venues Alliance, an association of over 800 venues from across the UK. We work to promote better understanding of the grassroots music venue sector. We campaign for improved policies and legislation and we pioneer tools and initiatives to deliver support to GMVs. I joined MVT in April 2020, and now in my role as the Venue Support Team manager I manage our team of nations coordinators and deliver the Emergency Response Service for our Music Venue Alliance venues. The Emergency Response Service gives speedy, strategic support to music venues in crisis.
