• ‘an incredible international showcase’

    CLASH Magazine
  • CONFERENCE

FOCUS Wales hosts an interactive music conference over the duration of the festival, featuring panels, seminars and discussions from experts from across the globe. Offering in depth music industry insight, expertise and real-world experiences from all music industry sectors.

This year, the FOCUS Wales conference will centre on the theme “A Fairer Future for Music,” exploring how the global music industry can move beyond inclusion as a buzzword, towards meaningful equity in practice. As the industry evolves, so must our understanding of fairness – not simply providing the same opportunities, but tailoring support to meet diverse needs and lived experiences. As the saying goes, “Equality is giving everyone the same sized shoe. Equity is making sure that everyone has a shoe that fits.”

Building on the success of 2025’s theme ‘A Healthier Future for Music”, this year’s discussions, panels, and workshops will shine a light on how artists, organisations, and communities can build a more representative and sustainable ecosystem for music – one that values accessibility, cultural diversity, and social justice at its core.
